The Role
Provide ongoing leadership of our clients technology team on site
Collaborate with colleagues in other locations
Expand, lead, manage, nurture and inspire the software engineering teams that span multiple product areas
Oversee and guide the design and delivery of multiple products
Define and manage a set of key performance indicators across product delivery lifecycle; drive outcomes for our clients business by setting goals and actions against these KPIs
Support our clients ambitious growth goals by recruiting the best talent to further strengthen our teams
Actively contribute to the development of our clients products according to agile principles
Ensure a productive, inspirational, and modern work environment for our clients teams
Encourage a growth mindset with continuous learning and improvement of our clients processes
Build our clients engineering brand by proactively following software engineering industry trends, presenting at conferences, meetups, etc. and being an enthusiastic advocate both in the local community and worldwide
Travel to the US for technical leadership meetings 2-3 times per year

Responsibilities
We are seeking a seasoned and enthusiastic Site Leader to drive this expansion. You will play a major role in delivering technology by building and managing a team of high-performing software engineers. You will develop technologies with a long-term outlook, build for scale & security, establish trust with the engineering teams and colleagues from all areas of the business. We are seeking a leader with a history of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Our clients technology stack includes;
Scala
Elasticsearch, Postgres, Redis Pulsar, AWS
Other Relevant Technologies include Docker / Kubernetes, React
Ideal candidate
Relevant experience as a software engineering leader / architect with experience in enterprise and/or consumer SaaS and mobile application development
Proficiency with our clients tech stack and ability to coach and mentor teams using this tech stack
Deep experience using AWS infrastructure to deliver SaaS applications
Seasoned leader with minimum 10+ years of related experience managing the software delivery process end-to-end People manager, ideally responsible for a mid-sized area or department (30+ people)
Proven track record of working for a US-based technology company focused on software product development (ideally, with some tenure in USA)
Highly analytical, data-driven and process-oriented mindset
You strive in a culture of innovation – always exploring ways to say yes and try out new ideas and living outside your comfort zone.
Leadership and interpersonal communication experience in working across many disciplines with internationally dispersed teams
Strong written and verbal communication. You can distil key points out of complex technical descriptions to share with non-technical stakeholders, adapting your language and style of communication depending on the audience.

This is a significant executive role so will come with a market leading package to include Base salary, shares, bonus etc.
