Automation QA Engineer – IoT & Cloud (Remote)

As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled Automation QA Engineer to enhance their test automation frameworks and ensure the highest software quality across their cloud-based platform.
Role Overview:
This role is ideal for an Automation QA Engineer with a strong background in test automation, cloud environments, and API testing. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to support high-performance IoT applications. Working within a collaborative team, you will contribute to CI/CD testing strategies, performance testing, and security validation, ensuring that solutions meet industry standards for reliability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for IoT and cloud-based applications.
- Create and execute end-to-end test scripts for APIs, web applications, and cloud services.
- Work with developers and DevOps engineers to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct performance, load, and security testing to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring rapid resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine test strategies and improve software quality.
- Stay up to date with best practices in test automation, cloud security, and IoT testing.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in automation testing within cloud-based environments.
- Strong proficiency in Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright for UI test automation.
- Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SOAP UI.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) for testing and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Experience working with test frameworks in Python, C#, or Java.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with IoT systems and embedded testing.
- Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices testing.
- Exposure to security testing tools and best practices.
- Strong understanding of BDD/TDD methodologies.
