About The Role
Join an Ocho Exclusive Client as a Principal QA Engineer. You will help lead and evolve their quality assurance discipline across a range of high-impact software products utilising Automation in Playwright.

The role
· Define and drive test strategy and automation architecture across multiple complex projects
· Lead the development and improvement of robust, scalable automation frameworks (UI, API, and performance)
· Embed QA best practices into the software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines
· Act as a technical and strategic QA lead across project teams, client engagements, and internal initiatives
· Champion performance and load testing, identifying bottlenecks and optimising systems using tools like JMeter
· Provide mentorship to QA engineers and developers, helping to level up testing maturity across the business
· Influence tooling, process, and quality culture across the company
Technical Skills
· Proven experience leading QA practices at a principal, lead, or senior level
· Hands-on expertise with Automation frameworks: Playwright (E2E/UI), Postman (API), JMeter (Performance)
· Languages: JavaScript, Python, C# or Java
· CI/CD: GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
· Deep understanding of the SDLC, Agile delivery, and how to embed testing throughout
· Strong communication skills and a consultative, team-first mindset
· Experience working with web applications, APIs, and microservices
· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
