About the Company
Our client is a leading global financial services organisation, connecting clients to international financial markets through a combination of market expertise, technology and data. With a large international workforce, they offer the scale and stability of a well established global business. They are known for an inclusive, collaborative culture and actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, even if they don't tick every box.
The Role
Sitting within a well resourced finance function, this role puts you at the heart of a multi-country payroll operation. You will manage your share of the monthly pay cycle from start to finish, keep stakeholders updated on progress and act as a trusted point of contact for colleagues with pay questions. There is also plenty of scope to get involved in improvement and systems work, making it a strong next step for a payroll professional who wants variety, international exposure and room to grow.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the end to end monthly pay run, from collating input through to sign off
• Keep employee pay records up to date across the full employee lifecycle
• Calculate and administer bonuses, overtime and salary sacrifice schemes
• Be the first point of contact for pay related questions from staff and managers
• Partner with the People team to keep employee information accurate and consistent
• Reconcile payroll at month end and prepare reports for internal and statutory purposes
• Play an active part in system implementation work, including testing and data migration
• Support wider finance initiatives and one-off reporting requests
What You'll Need
Essential:
• Hands-on experience running payroll on an in-house system
• Good working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and PAYE
• Confidence dealing directly with employees on pay matters
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with high volumes of data
• A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to getting it right first time
• Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Well organised, adaptable and able to perform under deadline pressure
• Full right to work in the UK
Desirable:
• Background in financial services or another regulated environment
• Experience of a cloud based payroll platform
• Exposure to international or multi-country payrolls
• Pension administration experience
• A genuine interest in developing a long term career in payroll
Why Apply
• Join a global financial services business with the scale and stability that comes with it
• Gain exposure to international payroll, not just UK processing
• Get hands-on involvement in payroll integration and systems projects
• Hybrid working within a genuinely inclusive, supportive culture
• Clear scope to develop your payroll career within a large finance function
