About the Company
An established manufacturing business based in Craigavon, with a strong reputation for quality and a genuine focus on continuous improvement. The business is looking for a Financial Controller ready to take real ownership of the finance function and play a central role in supporting its next stage of growth.
The Role
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with full ownership of the finance function day to day. You'll take responsibility for financial reporting, controls, compliance and cash flow, while leading and developing the wider finance team. It's a genuinely broad remit for someone who wants real influence over how the finance function operates and grows alongside the business.
Key Responsibilities
● Own financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes
● Lead the annual statutory audit and manage the external auditor relationship
● Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning
● Develop and strengthen financial controls, systems and governance
● Lead, develop and manage the finance team
● Ensure compliance with tax, VAT and other statutory obligations
● Provide commercial insight and analysis to support senior leadership decision-making
● Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and systems
What You'll Need
Essential:
● Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
● Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
● Strong background in management accounting, financial reporting and cash flow management
● Experience leading and developing a finance team
● Strong experience developing and implementing financial controls and governance
Desirable:
● Experience within a manufacturing environment
● ERP systems implementation experience
● Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
