Full Stack Software Developer

Job description.

Full-Stack Software Engineer – Python, TypeScript, React, GenAI | Hybrid, Belfast

At a Glance

Mid-level Full-Stack Software Engineer role on a large-scale enterprise GenAI programme

Core stack: Python, TypeScript, React and Node.js

        Hybrid working, Belfast

        Salary up to £45,000

Work on real, embedded GenAI capability across two major internal platforms, not a side project

About the Company

Our client is a major global insurance and financial services organisation investing heavily in its enterprise Generative AI capability. They run two complementary GenAI platforms: a broadly deployed AI assistant used across the business for summarisation, Q&A and decision support, and a set of advanced, use-case-specific GenAI tools embedded directly into core underwriting and claims workflows. They're building this out as a long-term, unified platform strategy rather than a series of one-off pilots.

The Role

You'll join a full-stack engineering team building, maintaining and scaling this GenAI platform, working across front-end and back-end delivery as well as the cloud and integration work needed to bring GenAI capabilities into high-value business workflows. You'll collaborate closely with platform, data and product teams, contribute to integration between the two GenAI platforms, and help embed responsible AI and operational resilience practices into everything shipped. It's a strong fit for someone who enjoys full-stack ownership and wants exposure to genuine production GenAI work rather than proof-of-concept builds.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain full-stack features across the GenAI platform using Python, TypeScript, React and Node.js

Collaborate on integration work connecting the two core GenAI platforms

Embed GenAI capabilities into high-value underwriting and claims style workflows

Design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs supporting platform features

Contribute to cloud architecture decisions across AWS and/or Azure

Instrument features with observability tooling, including logging, monitoring and tracing

Support containerisation and CI/CD practices using Docker and Kubernetes

Apply secure coding and data protection practices throughout delivery

Work within client-specific security standards required for system access

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support safe, scalable GenAI deployment

What You'll Need

Essential:

Solid commercial experience with Python, TypeScript, React and Node.js

Experience with REST and/or GraphQL API design and implementation

Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud architecture

Working knowledge of containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices

Understanding of observability practices (logging, monitoring, tracing)

Familiarity with secure coding and data protection principles

Desirable / Nice to Have:

Experience working within a regulated or enterprise security framework

Prior exposure to GenAI or LLM-integrated product work

Why Apply?

        Salary up to £45,000

Hybrid working model based in Belfast

Work on live, embedded GenAI capability across two enterprise platforms

Genuine full-stack scope, not a narrow front-end or back-end silo

Exposure to cloud architecture, observability and CI/CD best practice at scale

Be part of a growing, long-term GenAI investment rather than a short-lived pilot
