About the Opportunity:
This is a senior-level backend role focused on building large-scale data platforms that power customer-facing products. You’ll operate at a strategic level, shaping how data is aggregated, structured, and exposed across a modern, cloud-based architecture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Own the design and delivery of core backend data systems and APIs
• Define how data is aggregated, stored, and consumed across platforms
• Build scalable, high-performance data pipelines and services
• Influence architectural direction and technology choices
• Drive engineering best practices and mentor other engineers
• Collaborate across teams to deliver data-driven product features
What You’ll Bring:
• Strong experience building distributed backend systems
• Background in data platforms, ETL, or data warehousing
• Experience with APIs and backend frameworks
• Strong SQL and database optimisation experience
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience mentoring or leading engineers
