Our client is a Belfast based technology consultancy that partners with major global organisations to deliver secure, category defining software. It is currently delivering one of its most high profile engagements to date, a large scale enterprise GenAI platform used across a global organisation's underwriting, claims, productivity and decision support workflows. The consultancy blends software, cloud and AI specialists on a single delivery team, giving engineers genuine exposure to production grade AI systems rather than one off pilots.
The Role
You will join the team building and scaling two complementary GenAI platforms, one focused on broad employee productivity and the other delivering more specialised AI capabilities into business critical workflows. The work centres on making that platform secure, scalable and resilient enough to support multiple enterprise use cases while integrating cleanly with existing systems and data. Expect a genuine mix of full stack delivery, API integration and cloud architecture, working closely with product, engineering and AI colleagues on new use cases as they emerge. This suits a senior engineer who wants to stay hands on while operating inside a complex, high stakes enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and deliver full stack features across enterprise GenAI products using Python, TypeScript, React and Node.js
• Design and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs connecting GenAI capabilities to existing systems
• Collaborate on cloud architecture decisions across AWS and/or Azure
• Support integration between the organisation's GenAI platforms and its wider enterprise systems
• Implement observability across logging, monitoring and tracing for production services
• Operate containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practice across the team
• Apply secure coding and data protection principles throughout
• Help ensure GenAI services stay scalable, reliable and genuinely production ready
• Partner with product, engineering and AI teams to scope and deliver new use cases
What You'll Need
Essential:
• Strong commercial experience across Python, TypeScript, React and Node.js
• Track record building modern full stack applications end to end
• Good working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure
• Experience designing or consuming REST and GraphQL APIs
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of secure software engineering practices, comfortable in complex enterprise environments
Desirable / Nice to Have:
• Understanding of observability and production monitoring
• Interest in GenAI, LLM based products or AI enabled software
• Experience working on enterprise or regulated platforms
