About the Role

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong TypeScript expertise to join our growing start-up team. You’ll be one of the first engineering hires, meaning you’ll play a key role in shaping our tech, culture, and product direction. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be designing, building, and deploying features that deliver real value to our customers.

You’ll work closely with the founders, designers, and other engineers to deliver features quickly, while keeping scalability and long-term maintainability in mind.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end features using TypeScript across both front-end and back-end.

• Collaborate with product and design to turn ideas into working solutions.

• Take ownership of technical decisions and influence the architecture as we scale.

• Write clean, testable, maintainable code that balances speed and quality.

• Contribute to shaping engineering best practices in a start-up environment.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance.

• Occasionally wear multiple hats – because that’s start-up life.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with TypeScript on both front-end and back-end.

• Solid understanding of React (or a similar modern front-end framework).

• Experience with Node.js / Express (or a similar back-end framework).

• Familiarity with REST APIs and ideally GraphQL.

• Good knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL).

• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Comfort working in an agile, fast-moving environment.

• Problem solver with strong communication skills and a “get things done” mentality.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in a start-up or early-stage product environment.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps.

• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, etc.).

• An eye for UX / design sensibilities.
