Intermediate Java Developer

Location: Hybrid (Belfast ) · Full-time · Development

Our client is Asia's leading digital asset firm, operating at the intersection of institutional finance and crypto markets. Since 2017, they've navigated three full market cycles and built a reputation as the most trusted partner in the space, offering everything from spot execution and fixed income strategies to vanilla options and bespoke structured products.

They're now hiring 3 Intermediate Software Engineers to join a tight-knit engineering team working on the systems that power their trading, operations, and risk infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who wants to work on genuinely complex, mission-critical software at a firm where technology is central to what they do.

What You'll Do

• Develop tools, reports, and data feeds to meet the needs of trading, operations, and risk teams
• Take ownership of software quality
• Collaborate closely with Heads of Business and front-office teams to implement and maintain critical systems
• Contribute to company-wide technology initiatives, supporting business and operational goals as they evolve

What You'll Bring

Must-haves:

• 1+ years of experience in a technical engineering role
• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in a relevant field from a strong university
• Solid Computer Science fundamentals , you understand what's happening under the hood
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS or other major platforms)

Nice-to-haves:

• AWS certification
• Extensive Java experience, ideally including Spring Boot
• Background in fintech, trading systems, or high-stakes production environments
