My client is seeking a skilled Front-End Engineer with 3-5 years of commercial experience, specialising in React. This role is ideal for someone who loves crafting exceptional user experiences while working within a modern, fast-moving engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and optimise front-end features using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Translate UI/UX designs into fully responsive and accessible user interfaces.
Collaborate with Product, Design and Back-End teams to deliver end-to-end features.
Maintain high code quality through best practices, testing and code reviews.
Contribute to architectural decisions and front-end standards.
Monitor, debug and improve performance across applications.
Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency with React and modern front-end frameworks.
Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript and component-driven development.
Experience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, Recoil or similar).
Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and accessibility.
Experience integrating with RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.
Strong familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD practices.
Desirable Experience
Experience with front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite, Rollup).
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library or Cypress.
Exposure to design systems and UI component libraries.
Understanding of performance optimisation for large-scale front-end applications.
Experience working with cloud platforms or serverless environments.
