Principal .NET Engineer
Belfast based, hybrid (3 days onsite)
Up to £85,000 + 15 percent bonus + extensive benefits
We are recruiting a Principal .NET Engineer for one of Ocho's most trusted and respected clients, an organisation with an award winning engineering team and a long standing reputation for quality delivery. They are in the middle of a major digital transformation, replatforming key systems into a full AWS environment, and this role will play a central part in shaping the next generation of their global technology.
You'll work closely with solution architects, senior engineers and product teams to influence technical direction across a high profile application used worldwide. This role offers the chance to be hands on, contribute at architectural level and help redesign and replatform a complex, business critical system. The environment is collaborative, modern, cloud focused and suits someone who enjoys solving large scale engineering challenges.
Key responsibilities
Lead development of modern .NET and cloud native solutions.
Work closely with architects to define technical direction and target state.
Help redesign and replatform a global, business critical application into AWS.
Drive engineering standards, performance tuning and secure coding practices.
Mentor engineers and support continuous improvement across the team.
Collaborate with product and delivery teams to enable successful outcomes.
Required experience
Extensive experience with .NET, C# and modern architectural patterns.
Strong knowledge of AWS or another major cloud platform.
Background with microservices, APIs and distributed systems.
Experience in large scale transformations or cloud migrations.
Strong communicator who enjoys close collaboration in a Belfast based team.
