Data Sciencist
Location: Remote within NI
Salary: Up to 55k base plus bonus
We're working with a forward-thinking organisation that's building real-world intelligence from data. They're now hiring a Data Science Manager to help shape their data and AI strategy - leading projects that turn data into actionable insight, predictive capability, and commercial advantage.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can combine deep technical knowledge with clear business thinking. You'll guide a team of data scientists and engineers to design, deploy, and optimise models that drive measurable outcomes - from automating decision-making to uncovering new growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
Collaborate across departments to understand challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Build and maintain data pipelines that support model development and deployment at scale.
Communicate analytical findings to senior stakeholders in a clear, commercial way.
Champion innovation - keeping the team up to speed with the latest tools, frameworks, and techniques in data science and AI.
Develop and mentor team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
Skills & Experience
Strong background in developing and deploying machine learning or deep learning models in production.
Skilled in Python and SQL, with experience using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch (R experience a plus).
Excellent understanding of statistics, mathematics, and model evaluation.
Proven ability to translate data outputs into business insight and influence decision-making.
Degree-qualified (BSc, MSc or PhD) in a quantitative discipline.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
