The Role

A leading global trading and data infrastructure company is seeking a Product Owner to help shape the vision and delivery of its next-generation technology platforms.

You'll work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to translate strategic goals into actionable backlogs, ensuring every sprint delivers measurable business value. This is a hands-on role that blends stakeholder collaboration, backlog ownership, and delivery leadership within a fast-paced Agile environment.

What You'll Do

  • Define and prioritise the team backlog, ensuring alignment with customer and business needs

  • Partner with Product Managers to connect product strategy to delivery across the Agile Release Train

  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to identify and validate user requirements

  • Apply design thinking and customer-centric approaches to solution design

  • Create MVP specifications, user stories, and workflow diagrams to support delivery teams

  • Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT to ensure solutions meet agreed outcomes

  • Use feedback loops and data to iterate and improve product value

  • Liaise between business units, development, and support teams to resolve dependencies and issues


Your Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Technical Business Analyst

  • Background in Post-Trade systems or complex financial technology environments

  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks and product lifecycle management

  • Proven ability to translate vision and roadmap into actionable backlogs

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills

  • Experience delivering complex, high-impact products in fast-paced environments

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with OKRs and outcome-based delivery metrics

  • Experience in financial services, particularly trading, broking, or liquidity solutions

  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools

  • Understanding of CLOB, RFQ, APIs, or streaming protocols

  • Background in customer-facing or technology-led change roles
