Principal Technical Trainer
Location: Belfast

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Principal Technical Trainer for a fast growing organisation that delivers world class technical and professional learning to global clients across finance, insurance and technology. You will shape how engineers, graduates and leaders upskill, and you will drive innovation in the design and delivery of training programmes.

You will lead and support a diverse pool of instructors, ensuring consistently excellent delivery. With strong technical depth, proven leadership and commercial awareness, you will protect and enhance our reputation while supporting ambitious growth.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing and supporting a pool of instructors, aligning skills to programme needs

  • Recruiting, onboarding and mentoring new trainers to close capability gaps

  • Monitoring instructor performance and providing coaching and feedback for continuous improvement

  • Embedding delivery frameworks across technical, professional and capital markets content

  • Overseeing course preparation, content readiness and learner engagement

  • Ensuring interactive and impactful delivery using modern platforms and blended methodologies

  • Integrating new technologies, including GenAI enabled solutions, to enhance training

  • Acting as a point of escalation for delivery issues and stepping in to deliver when required

  • Providing clear return on investment metrics to support business development and client engagement

About You

  • Proven experience as an instructor, trainer or teacher within graduate or professional training programmes

  • Ten or more years of industry experience across technology, finance or professional learning environments

  • Strong technical background with the versatility to support delivery across multiple disciplines

  • Commercially aware, able to balance educational quality with business objectives

  • Comfortable mentoring and leading instructors, and confident delivering sessions directly when needed

  • Familiar with modern learning platforms, virtual delivery tools and blended methodologies, desirable

  • Experience working with graduate or early career talent, desirable
