We're hiring a Data Platform Engineer to join a scaling engineering team at the heart of a modern analytics environment. This role is central to delivering a robust, secure and highly available cloud-based data platform - integrating data tooling into a wider fintech ecosystem.

You'll collaborate closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, and InfoSec teams to ensure platform consistency, stability, and ease of deployment across environments. The platform is under constant iteration - and this role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving infrastructure problems with smart automation, and improving the resilience of data systems at scale.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the design, build and maintenance of a scalable cloud-based data platform

  • Owning the deployment and integration of key data tools - e.g. dbt Core, Airflow, Airbyte, Snowflake

  • Using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation) to automate deployment across environments

  • Working closely with DevOps and engineering teams to improve release pipelines, CI/CD, and observability

  • Establishing controls and tooling to support uptime, monitoring, and incident response

  • Leading or supporting platform upgrades, performance tuning and optimisation

  • Identifying and resolving platform-related issues and ensuring data platform security and compliance

  • Staying ahead of emerging data infrastructure trends and best practices

Tech you'll be working with:

  • Cloud: Azure and AWS

  • Data tooling: Snowflake, dbt Core, Airbyte, Airflow

  • IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation (or Bicep)

  • Containers & OS: Docker, Linux-based platforms

  • CI/CD: Azure DevOps pipelines, automation scripting

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a Data Platform, Cloud Infrastructure, or DevOps-style engineering role

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure

  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code - particularly Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Exposure to data platforms and tooling (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Airflow etc.)

  • Knowledge of Linux environments and containerisation

  • Familiarity with networking and security practices in cloud-based systems

  • Proactive mindset and solid problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working in an agile, cross-functional environment

Location: Remote-first, with optional team meetups (UK/Ireland)
Salary: Up to £65k base + bonus + benefits
