Senior Backend Engineer – Java | Cloud Security
The Company
My client is a rapidly growing cloud security company specializing in runtime-powered solutions. Their technology enables businesses to detect and respond to cloud security threats in real-time by leveraging automation, contextual intelligence, and cutting-edge infrastructure.
Operating in a high-growth market, they work with major cloud providers and modern architectures to deliver innovative security solutions.
As they continue to expand, they are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, and scaling of mission-critical backend systems.
The Role
- Lead backend development from architecture through to deployment and monitoring.
- Drive technical and architectural decisions to optimize performance and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and design discussions to ensure best practices.
- Improve system efficiency, reliability, and security through robust backend engineering.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, Frontend, and Security teams.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Java (experience with Golang is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Quarkus, or similar).
- Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Proven ability to design and implement data-intensive systems (databases, event-driven systems, messaging architectures).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native development.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability.
